Mohan Lal and director Jeetu Joseph are a lethal duo that brought us the classics Drishyam and its sequel. They've paired up again for another thriller, 12th Man. The investigative thriller was never released in theatres and is now available to watch on Hotstar. chandrasekhar (Mohan Lal) is a suspended cop who is spending his final days off at a private resort. Eleven friends and their spouses are celebrating a bachelor party at the resort. The gang begins to relax before embarking on a daring game of divulging the deepest secret from their phones. Until one of them is slain, this harmless game turns into a horror. chandrasekhar enters and begins the probe.

Mohan Lal is fantastic as an alcoholic cop and knows how to handle any circumstance. Though his role appears underdeveloped, Mohan Lal's good emotions ensure that these flaws are not visible on screen. However, there are a few situations in which Mohan Lal sleepwalks. anusree is the most complex character in 12th Man, and she gives an outstanding performance. The remainder of the cast, which includes Saiju Kurup, Sshivada, Unni Mukundhan, and Anu Sitharaa, is really good.

The movie is said to be inspired from Agatha Christie's several novels and movies 'Murder on the Orient Express'. malayalam cinema is known for its technical excellence, and 12th Man is no exception. The story takes place in a little resort. The art direction is fantastic, and the atmosphere produced by cameraman Sateesh Kurup to add to the thriller is incredible. The move from drama to thriller is seamless, with no time wasted in the changeover.
