telangana chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao appears to have made up his mind to form a national party after failing to make any progress on his proposal of a national front. On june 19, the telangana rashtra samithi (TRS) executive is likely to make a final decision in this respect at an extended meeting. The trs president is said to have agreed to the suggestion to form the Bharat Rashtra Samithi after a marathon meeting with state ministers and top party leaders on friday (BRS).

The process of registering the new party with the indian Election Commission is expected to begin soon. By the end of june, kcr, as the trs supremo is called, plans to make an official declaration of a new political party in New Delhi. The trs leadership is said to want the BRS to use the trs symbol of an automobile as well. According to party sources, the projected national party will be headquartered at the trs office in the national capital.

KCR, who has already stated his determination to play a prominent role in national politics, spent more than six hours discussing the present political scenario with his close advisers. He is believed to have agreed to a party MLA's proposal to rename the proposed party BRS. kcr had predicted that there would be a sensation in the country after his talks with delhi Chairman minister Arvind Kejriwal, Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and former prime minister and Janata Dal(S) leader Deve Gowda last month.
