The parliament left in a rally towards the Prime Minister's residence. people protestors are demanding Gotabaya's resignation by today afternoon. They warned that if they do not leave the post, their agitation will escalate. On the other hand, some soldiers supported them and supported the agitation. It is reported that Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled the country due to strong opposition at home, will also leave the Maldives. It seems that he will resign after that. And the people of maldives also declared their support for Sri Lankans.


As Gotabaya left the country, Speaker Mahinda Abhaywardhana decided to appoint Ranil vikram singh as the interim president. On the other hand, the current president Gotabaya has not resigned yet. Since he is not in the country, the responsibilities have been handed over to Ranil. But the protestors are worried that he should also step down and not sit in the presidency.
