Shah Rukh Khan was trending on social media as Brahmastra, the biggest hindi movie of 2022, which stars ranbir kapoor and alia bhatt, opened in theatres on september 9. The superstar actor left the audience wanting more of his character in Ayan Mukerji's high-budget, multifaceted fantasy, action-adventure, and romantic drama. Shah Rukh Khan played physicist Mohan Bhargav in Brahmastra as a tribute to the actor's Swades character, who wielded the Vanarastra.

This was SRK's second cameo appearance of the year; his first was in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by R Madhavan. The only thing SRK's admirers could hope for was a full-length movie portraying the superstar in his Mohan Bhargav/Vanarastra persona. The last time SRK starred in a movie was in 2018. Nevertheless, he does have three movies coming out next year: Pathaan, Jawaan, and Dunki.

Shah Rukh Khan's role will not just appear in Part One of the film, according to the Brahmastra director, who also confirmed that the superstar will return. When we were filming the sequence in 2019, we were also saying it on set. As we learned more about the scientist's personality, we thought, "Yaar, we have to do stuff. We have to do the beginnings tale of the scientist!" ayan mukerji remarked in an interview with a prominent media outlet.
