Historic! indian Navy is inducting women sailors!!!


Navy Chief Admiral R hari Kumar termed the commissioning of INS Vikrant as a historic event for the country and the Navy. A day before Navy Day, Admiral hari Kumar informed that 3,000 Agniveers have reached the Navy. In this, 341 women are also included. For the first time, women sailors are also being included in the Navy. During the annual press conference in delhi on Saturday, the Navy chief said that there are very few countries which have the capability to build an aircraft carrier. 


Navy Chief Admiral R hari Kumar said that we keep monitoring the movement of Chinese ships in the indian Ocean region. There are many Chinese ships that roam in the indian Ocean region. We have around 4-6 PLA Navy ships. A large number of Chinese vessels come to the indian Ocean region for fishing, but we keep a close watch on all developments.

Admiral R hari Kumar emphasized the importance of maritime security. He said that recent global events such as the ukraine conflict have shown that we cannot depend on others for our security needs. 341 of the 3,000 Agniveers who have joined the Navy are female. We are enlisting female sailors in the Navy for the first time. Till now women are limited to only 7 to 8 branches.
