Tiruvannamalai Deepam..! fire accident on the hill..!?

Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam festival was held yesterday. For this, maha Deepam was lit on the top of the 2,668 feet high mountain. On this occasion, 2,500 devotees were allowed to climb the mountain. Pilgrims were allowed to climb the mountain from yesterday morning to 2 pm. It is noteworthy that a permit card with a photograph was given to each devotee. They were barred from carrying firecrackers, camphor, and matchsticks, and pilgrims were allowed to climb the mountain only after strict screening.
Mahadeepam was lit at 6 pm. Following this, Arokara Gosham for Annamalaya shook the sky. After the lamp darshan, the devotees started descending from the hill. Using flashlights and cell phone torches, they tracked down the trail. The policemen who were engaged in security work helped the devotees. At this stage, the devotees set fire in the middle of the path where they were descending. The dry trees and vines on the side of the road caught fire. The devotees were shocked.After this, there was a commotion among the devotees. The police who arrived quickly helped the devotees to get down the detour to avoid congestion. Regarding this incident, the police said that this accident may have occurred due to a fire set by mysterious persons on the hill or when some of the devotees lit camphor and worshiped. They are also investigating the fire.
