An IED explosion caused injuries to two CRPF members of the 85th battalion on monday in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Both injured jawans were transported to the local hospital and will now be sent to raipur for additional medical care. "Two members of the CRPF 85BN were hurt in a pressure IED explosion that the Naxals set off in the Bijapur area. After receiving first care, they are being transported to raipur, according to the chhattisgarh Police.

Bijapur SP Anjaneya Varshney confirmed the event and stated that the case relates to the vicinity of the Gangalur police station. In April, Maoists detonated an IED in the Dantewada area of chhattisgarh, killing ten security guards and a driver. A squad from the district Reserve Guard (DRG) of the state police was returning from an anti-Naxalite operation when the event occurred inside the boundaries of the Aranpur police station.

A Naxal attack on wednesday claimed the lives of ten district Reserve Guard (DRG) members from chhattisgarh as well as the driver of the vehicle they were travelling in. After hearing that there were Naxalites in the Aranpur neighbourhood of Dantewada, security men from the district Reserve Guard (DRG) went there. The DRG troops' vehicle was the target of a Maoist improvised explosive device (IED) strike while it was leaving the region.
