After his son said that the former mla had been exposed to "slow poisoning" while incarcerated, controversy developed over the death of Mukhtar Ansari, a mobster turned politician. Ansari, 60, of Banda, Uttar Pradesh, passed away on thursday from a heart attack. He had been incarcerated since 2005.
 
To avoid a situation involving law and order, the Uttar Pradesh police has issued prohibitory orders throughout the state. There were more than sixty active criminal cases against Mau's five-term Member of Legislative, Mukhtar Ansari.
