There has been conjecture on the loyalty of two YSRCP MLAs in the approaching elections due to their absence from recent party programs: maddisetty venugopal from Darshi and Mahidhar reddy from Kandukur. Even though they are sitting MLAs, the YSRCP did not provide them tickets for the current election. Mahidhar reddy is reportedly anticipated to be politically quiet, although there are hints that maddisetty venugopal would back the tdp alliance candidate in Darshi, either directly or indirectly.
 
Despite meeting with chief minister Jaganmohan reddy and other party officials, Mahidhar reddy failed to campaign for the YSRCP candidate in kandukur, which has drawn criticism. His admirers were allegedly given the impression that he was taking a wait-and-see attitude, which sparked rumors regarding his plans.
