Suriya will next appear in a dual role in the sci-fi epic action drama film 'Kanguva'. Siva directed the film, which stars disha patani and bobby deol in minor parts. The actor has already completed his filming schedule and is set to collaborate with sudha Kongara for the second time.
 
An formal declaration addressing this was made in march 2024. However, it appears that this project has been permanently cancelled owing to budgetary constraints and artistic disputes between the performer and the filmmaker. The duo's first collaboration, soorarai pottru ('Aakashame Nee Haddura' in Telugu), became a legendary smash on Prime Video, and the anticipation for their comeback was tremendous. Unfortunately, the film will not be made, and karthik Subbaraj will direct Suriya's next project.
