Reddit has grown in popularity in recent months as a forum for workers to discuss workplace issues and challenges. There are now several subreddits where workers can interact with others who have similar difficulties and anonymously share their stories. After a recruiter for a personal assistant position in noida made inappropriate requests during their discussion, a woman recently came to the platform to talk about her unsettling encounter. The woman posted a screenshot of her whatsapp conversation with the recruiter with the title, "Am I in the wrong for feeling creeped out over this?"

The applicant began the interview by asking, "In-hand or CTC?," which marked the beginning of the conversation. Is there anything that can be negotiated? But when the recruiter asked, "If you don't mind, can you send one full pic?" the conversation took an unsettling turn.

The recruiter persisted in pressing for her instagram profile to "show your personality for PA profile" even after the candidate turned down the request.  The woman remained professional throughout the conversation.  "I have a secret instagram account. Why is that relevant, may I ask?" she said. Additionally, she volunteered to respond to inquiries during a formal interview.

The woman also wrote in the post's description, "I applied for a job as a personal assistant in Noida. The recruiter is being really creepy, but the compensation is amazing. I'm rather certain that this isn't the standard in the industry. He even inquired about my marital status prior to this conversation! This is really discouraging.

Since being shared, the post has gone viral, triggering a wave of reactions. "Post on LinkedIn.. tag the b***ard and the company. He's probably done it before and he'll do it again," wrote one user.

"100% creep and unprofessional. Don't even bother replying," commented another.
