On May 9, rajkummar rao and wamiqa gabbi will star in the romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf, which is sure to win us over.  Rumor has it that he is negotiating a role in a biopic as public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.  Following Aamir Khan's departure from the film, a new lead is now possible. According to a number of sources, rajkummar rao is the actor that producer Dinesh Vijan wants to play Ujjwal Nikam in the biopic.  The group believes Rajkummar does the character justice by providing exactly the appropriate amount of nuance and adaptability. 

According to the source, the film's directors are now leaning towards a more genuine and unvarnished story to fit Rajkummar Rao's style, should he join the project, even though the original concept called for an intense courtroom drama with political overtones.  Originally slated to play the lead, aamir khan will now just be involved as a producer in the biopic.  Speaking of Ujjwal Nikam, he is a renowned public prosecutor in india who has dealt with numerous high-profile cases involving terrorism and violent crimes. 

In historic cases including the 1993 bombay Blasts, the 2008 mumbai Attacks, the Pramod Mahajan case, and the Gulshan Kumar case, he served as the prosecutor.  Rao had starred in stree 2, which brought in over 500 crores from the same producer. His positive relationship with Dinesh Vijan may have also contributed to his success on this production.  It will be interesting to watch how rajkummar rao adjusts to the role and performs it on television.
