Following missile and drone exchanges that have targeted key points across the border, including airbases and civilian settlements, tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have escalated to their worst level in years.

On the ground, the military situation has gotten worse even while diplomatic lines are still open.

India countered and neutralized a wave of missile and drone attacks conducted by pakistan, which targeted 26 places from gujarat to Jammu & Kashmir, for the second consecutive night.

According to the defense ministry, several efforts to attack important indian facilities, such as airbases and airports, were successfully repelled.

Four key Pakistani airbases, Noor Khan in Rawalpindi, Murid in Chakwal, Rafiqui in Shorkot, and one unidentified location, were the targets of retaliatory precise strikes by india, according to government sources, seriously damaging military facilities.  There were reports of explosions in Lahore, Islamabad, and other Pakistani towns.

According to the defense ministry, indian Air Defence Systems (ADS) in the western sector intercepted and destroyed one of the long-range missiles fired by Pakistani forces toward indian bases.

In response to persistent drone attacks, india also launched strikes overnight in Sialkot and the Neelam Valley in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.  Defense sources claim that several terrorist launch pads and Pakistani positions near Jammu were destroyed because they were being used to send tube-launched drones into indian territory.
