It was anticipated that the teaser for war 2 would go viral online.  Yash Raj Films had hoped for a different response, but this was not the case.  Rather of receiving widespread acclaim, the teaser unexpectedly attracted mocking and criticism, especially for its editing and visual effects.  Even bollywood media, which often supports big releases, wasn't afraid to call out the shortcomings.  Telugu fans were also let down by Jr. NTR's appearance.

The war 2 crew is currently in full damage-control mode, according to Mumbai-based sources.  VFX is the most frequently reported issue, according to their meticulous analysis of the input.  Similar issues were brought up during Pathaan, but the team was able to address them before to the final release, and they want to do the same now.

According to reports, the filmmakers acknowledged internally that they hurried the teaser because of time constraints, which resulted in a lackluster cut that fell short of expectations.  They now intend to make major adjustments, particularly to the trailer, which will be vital in influencing how the public views the film.

The increasing interest in lokesh Kanagaraj's film Coolie, which is also scheduled for release on august 14—the same day as war 2—is making matters worse.  According to trade observers, Coolie is attracting more interest from consumers than war 2, especially outside of the conventional hindi market, as a result of its brief promotions. One thing is now required for war 2 to regain its standing and make a powerful return: an incredible trailer that can change the course of events.
