Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma himself gave information about this. He said that about 4 km long part of National Highway-27 is being designed for the fighter planes of the indian air Force. Aircraft like Sukhoi and Rafale can be landed here. The indian air Force is currently inspecting it.

After visiting the facility on the Moran bypass being built under the Dibrugarh-Moran National Highway Project in coordination with the indian air Force, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "This will be the first emergency landing facility in the entire Northeast region." He said that it is being developed to land aircraft on a four-km long strip of the national highway between Moran and Demo.
Air show can also be organized
Sarma said, "I held a meeting with the district administration, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and the indian air Force and the minor issues that were there have been resolved." He said, "During the inauguration of this strip, I have requested the indian air Force to organize an 'air show' and also bring some fighter planes."
