Indian fast bowler mohammed siraj has been fined 15 percent of his match salary for violating the ICC Code of Conduct during the Lord's Test against England. He has also been given one demerit point. The incident took place during the fourth day of the third Test between india and england at Lord's. In England's second innings, Siraj dismissed opener Ben Duckett. If a player receives four or more demerit points in a 24-month period, they are converted into suspension points and the player is banned. Siraj admitted his guilt and accepted the punishment imposed by the match referee. It is noteworthy that former england captain Alastair Cook had said that Siraj's actions were unacceptable and that strict action should be taken for him.
