There is a miracle and surprise happening somewhere in our world. Similarly, every scientific discovery and technology is surprising the people of the world day by day. However, things beyond science are also happening here and there. Scientists and researchers have brought such miracles to the attention of the people. In that way, do you know what Japanese scientists have to say about their current discovery? Scientists from tokyo and Hokkaido Universities in japan have recently discovered mysterious black eggs at a depth of 6,200 meters in the Pacific Ocean. They have observed these eggs using a remote vehicle. Black eggs at a depth of 20,000 feet under the sea. These black eggs were in a pile. Scientists were surprised by how many eggs there were in the sea. Similarly, what was inside the eggs? There was also a lot of curiosity.
Thinking that they might be the eggs of some marine creature, they decided to bring them and study them. The deepest part of the Pacific Ocean is the "abyssopelagic zone." So bringing those eggs out of the sea from such a depth was quite a challenge. However, when the eggs were brought up, most of the eggs were broken. Out of so many piles of eggs, only 4 eggs were recovered safely. The eggs were immediately sent to researchers who study invertebrates. All 4 eggs were examined. But only then did it become clear that it was not an egg at all.
Scientists confirmed that it was a nest of flatworms. Scientists say they have never seen such a nest of worms. As soon as the egg was cut, a milky white liquid came out of it. Inside, it was small white bodies densely packed. Only then was it confirmed that it was a nest of worms, i.e., platyhelminths. These invertebrates can live in the deepest parts of the ocean. They are so dark and terrifying to look at. Researchers say this is the first time that flatworms have been found at such a depth. Although flatworms have been found at a depth of 5,200 meters before, it has now been proven that invertebrates like flatworms live in the deep sea. The co-author of the research paper published in the scientific journal Biology letters said, "I have never seen a flatworm like this anywhere before. This is a new, rare discovery in my research journey, and an unforgettable one." The researchers say that flatworms are not much different from creatures that live in shallow water. These black eggs, or flatworms, that have terrified researchers are going viral on the internet.
