The young couple is taken out of the cars by force. As people silently watch, the woman, with a shawl over her head, is given a copy of the Quran and instructed to proceed onto an empty hilltop.
The woman turns to one of the males and addresses him in the Brahui language, saying:
"Walk seven steps with me, then you may shoot me."
Following a little stroll, she continues with icy clarity:
"All you can do is shoot me. Nothing more.
The man takes this as a cue to lift his weapon and shoot her back many times. After the third shot, she falls to the ground, very likely dead.
The crowd chants in celebration as the video cuts to a blood-soaked man, who is thought to be her husband, lying still next to her body.
Victims Identified, police Launch Investigation
The deaths were revealed to be Ahsan Ullah and Bano Bibi, a newlywed couple who had not received their family's blessing. local police began a thorough investigation after the video went viral, and they have since detained 13 people, including:
Tribal chief Sardar Satakzai is accused of ordering the death.
According to reports, Bano's brother made the complaint that resulted in the murder.
Quetta police Chief naveed Akhtar claims that the tribal chief gave the order to kill after the woman's brother confronted him and betrayed his ire over the marriage that had been performed without his approval.
