Air Marshal vivek Ram Chaudhari will be the next Chief of the indian air Force, according to the Ministry of Defence. After the incumbent air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria retires on september 30, 2021, he will take up the position.
Air Marshal Chaudhari is now the Vice Chief of air Staff and will take over as the indian air Force's top commander at the end of this month. His appointment was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence on Tuesday.
“The government has decided to designate air Marshal v R Chaudhari, current Vice Chief of air Staff, as the next Chief of air Staff upon the retirement of air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on september 30,” the ministry stated in an official statement.


After graduation from the National Defence Academy, he joined the IAF's fighter stream on december 29, 1982. (NDA). On July 1, this year, air Marshal vivek Ram Chaudhari was named Vice Chief of the indian air Force. Before this position, he had command, staff, and instructional positions at various levels. He has flown a broad range of fighters and aircraft, including the MiG-21, MiG-23 MF, MiG 29, and Su-30 MKI fighter planes, with a total flying time of over 3,800 hours. He has also served as the commander of a frontline fighter squadron and a frontline fighter base. He will be in charge of numerous operational concerns after being named Chief of air Staff after september 30.
