In spite of the Financial limitations, which forced him to stop taking coaching programmes, Anil's sole focus was on his UPSC training. Without any tutoring, a rural cloth seller's son advances from IIT delhi to UPSC Rank 45.

Robert Schuller book was his success mantra- Tough things pass, but tough people endure. Using the title of this book, Anil Basak, set his journey to the stars. He was placed 45th in the UPSC exams 2021. Anil Binod Basak, a local cloth vendor, is the son of the resident of Kishanganj, Bihar. His father made a livelihood by trading garments from the village to hamlet. The UPSC aspirant was determined to guarantee that his father would never have to go through such an ordeal repeatedly.

Anil Basak was the second member in his family to succeed in Class 10 board exams. Then, in 2014, he passed JEE and was accepted into IIT Delhi's civil engineering department. He credited his family and friends for his great achievement in the UPSC exams.

Anil was attending the UPSC exams for the third time. In his first attempt, he failed the UPSC Prelims, but in his second, he secured Rank 616. The third time was magic, and he rose to 45th place. His mission to get here, though, was nothing short of inspiring.
