In an unexpected turn of events, the horror thriller "Virupaksha" has defied conventional wisdom that moviegoers have little interest in this genre by storming the box office with its positive word-of-mouth. The film, which is set in an unusual location, has already become a huge hit in the telugu states and all across the world.

According to trade figures, the movie made over 20 crore rupees in the first three days. The 16 Cr in telugu state collections alone attest to the fact that telugu viewers are always the first to support quality programming. In the meantime, the movie made over 37 Cr. rupees in its first three days of release. With a total of $726k (Rs 6 crore) in just its first weekend, the movie is also doing well in the USA, where it has become Sai Dharam Tej's highest-earning movie to date.

The film's leading lady was Samyuktha Menon. karthik Varma Dandu directed the movie. By the conclusion of its third day, Virupaksha had amassed a respectable global revenue of Rs 44 crores. This week should see the movie's box office dominance continue. It should be noted that Sai Dharam Tej's highest-grossing movie is this one.
