Given that Final Destination: Bloodlines was scheduled to premiere in indian IMAX theaters on May 16, 2025, fans were eagerly awaiting the film. The irony is that, due to tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, it will no longer be shown in IMAX. What took place?

The initial date for Final Destination: Bloodlines was May 16.  The Final Reckoning was then rescheduled for May 17, one week sooner than originally scheduled, because to Mission: Impossible.  IMAX screenings were scheduled for both, however Mission: Impossible took over all of India's IMAX screens.

Warner Bros., what did they do?  To ensure Bloodlines had a shot in theaters, they bumped its release date one day earlier to May 15. The company is betting that the excitement generated during the first two days would prevent the movie from completely losing ground to Cruise's smash hit.

This is when it gets interesting.  A lesser movie with a devoted fan base, Sinners, was previously removed from IMAX theaters in locations including Paras delhi and Eros Mumbai.  But you know what?  It has returned.  Sinners will resume performances at Eros IMAX, Paras IMAX, and priya IMAX on May 9.  The movie will be screened at Eros at 10:30 p.m., Paras at 2:55 p.m., and priya at 9:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.  Not bad for a movie that wasn't even intended to be shown at the IMAX!  Sinners is performing well at the box office and could soon surpass Rs. 10 crore despite not being a major.

Although Mission: Impossible is putting pressure on Final Destination: Bloodlines, Warner Bros. made a wise move by delaying the release date in order to have a strong run before Cruise takes over.  In a packed market, it's the best they could do, but it's not ideal.  However, Sinners' IMAX comeback is a victory for underdog movies.  It's still getting those big-screen commercials and doing well at the box office despite its smaller scale.  Although Final Destination: Bloodlines will not have its IMAX moment, the movie will nonetheless go on.

Sinners, on the other hand, has made a fantastic return and demonstrates that even smaller films may be successful.  Let's watch how it develops over the next few days.  These two have fared well thus far.
