Good news for government Employees..!

For a long time, workers and their organizations have been demanding an increase in the minimum pension under the Pension Scheme-1995. At present, there is a limit to the amount of pension that can be calculated from the basic salary. If the minimum basic salary of an employee is Rs. 15,000, the pension will be calculated only from Rs. 15,000. A case has been filed in the supreme court to raise this limit. With the verdict, the pension will go up to Rs 8,571.
The important thing is that even if the basic salary of the employee is more than 15,000 rupees, the pension amount is calculated only from 15000 rupees. There is a limit to this. If the basic salary is increased to perhaps Rs. 20,000, the pension amount will increase even more. Even if the basic salary of an employee is Rs. 50,000, then the pension amount starts from Rs.15,000 which was very less for the employees.
The case is in the supreme court which is pending. If the supreme court removes the basic salary cap, employees will get multiple pensions. So this case is causing a lot of anticipation.
