A while ago, we had reported that Akkineni Nagarjuna's Annapoorna studios banner had registered the title Manmadhudu 2, in the film chamber and since then there were huge expectations around the sequel. But most of them preferred a standalone flick starring Akkineni heroes as a sequel fails mostly.
As expected the sequel failed miserably. The movie was directed by actor rahul Ravindran, the husband of singer chinmayi who had turned director with the family entertainer Rom com Chi La Sow last year and the movie was released by Nag in his Annapoorna studios. Now, an interesting fact was revealed by an inside member of the team.
naga chaitanya who has achieved success with his latest release has opened up on the project revealing that rahul ravindran had narrated a plot to nagarjuna which was much similar to Manmadhudu, and hence they had registered the title as Manamdhudu 2. The team initially planned to rope in disha patani as the female lead in this sequel. But due to lack of dates, the chance went to rakul Preet. Disha escaped narrowly from embarrassment as the movie was a bomb at the Box-Office.
