Popular actor Nitish Veera who won accolades for his performance in films like asuran, kaala, Ettuthikkum Para, Raatchasi, Peranbu etc died of COVID-19 today. The 45-year-old actor who contracted the deadly virus took his last breath on monday at Chennai’s Omandurar government Hospital.

Nitish Veera has done applause-worthy roles in several movies with big stars in Kollywood. His first break came with the film Pudhupettai. The role of Mani in the film is very much notable and people still look upto the character. director Selvaraghavan who directed the film took to twitter and wrote, “REST IN PEACE MY “MANI”

 
He also appeared in films like Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Sindhanai Sei, Peranbu, Raatchasi, kaala among others. His last movie was asuran in which he did a powerful role. He played an upper-class bigot role in the film.


Actor Vishnu vishal who acted with Nitish in two films wrote, “#RIPNitishVeera It pains to write this…Acted with him in #Vennilakabbadikuzhu and #MaaveranKittu.. This covid second wave is taking away so many lives.. Be careful and keep your loved ones really close to you.”
Nitish has two upcoming movies one with vijay sethupathi titled ‘Laabam’ and another film ‘Neero’.
