Generally, some actors in the film industry are limited to acting, while others show his ability as producers and directors. We see many of them in our telugu film industry. So first he started his movie journey as a character artist after that he became an actor, director and producer in his 30 years life. He is none other than Giribabu. Giribabu's real name is Yarra Seshagiri Rao. He was born on June 8th, 1946 to nagayya and Nagaratnamma in Ravinutala village of prakasam district. He was married to sridevi in 1963 and had 3 children, two sons and a daughter.


His sons are also well known to us. They are Raghubabu and Bose Babu. They both came into the film industry while his daughter madhavi did not step into the industry. His wife died due to kidney problems on May 12, 2016. giri babu was interested in films since childhood and that made him to step into the film industry.


 He made his debut in the telugu film industry with the film "Jagame Maya" in 1973. Later in 1977, he became a producer with the film Devathalara Deevinchandi. He has acted in many films as an actor and has been honored by everyone. Moreover, he has also acted with many stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, nagarjuna and Mohan Babu. In 1978, he became a director through the film Simhagarjana. He has directed four films in total.
