Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivn's produced movie 'Koolangal' has been selected as India's official entry in Oscars.
Oscar Awards is the highest recognition a movie or an artist can hope for. Indian movie or artist's have rarely won the award as the competition is incredibly high with the whole world making their entries.
Being so, the works for next oscar are already up. A few days before it was announced that about 14 movies are in screening for India's official entry into oscars. Vidyabalan's 'Sherni', mollywood movie 'Nayattu' and Shootjit Sarcar's Sardhar Uddham were some of the movies in the race.
The film federation of india containing a 15 member team analyzed through the movies and finally the Koolangal, an indie film directed by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn has been selected as the india entry. The movie is directed by the debutant PS Vinoth Raj. The movie has its music composed by Yuvan shankar Raja.
Vignesh Shivn shared the news on twitter and has been continuously appreciated for the movie. The movie is yet to have an official release. This is just a start as it still has a long way to go for the movie and it needs to be seen if the movie can make it into the final cut of nominations.
