INOX and PVR, two of India's top cinema operators, have developed a novel idea for moviegoers. They've made the decision to launch a trailer screening show, where movie fans can take in the excitement of the big screen at any of their multiplexes by purchasing a ticket for just Rs. This new project allows viewers to watch 30 minutes of future movie trailers on a huge screen for just one rupee. The proprietors of multiplexes believe that this new campaign will entice moviegoers back into the theatre.

Although the concept is original and creative, will viewers make the trip merely to watch trailers on a giant screen for a rupee? Yes, there may be a viewership interested in seeing the trailers of high-profile or expensive movies. But will there be a viewership for other movies? It is somewhat shaky.

Some people would watch trailers at multiplexes, such as college students or local residents, while others would simply watch them on their smartphones. Every PVR INOX theatre will offer half-hour trailer showing for one rupee, with the exception of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and tamil Nadu. watch out this space for more updates.
