B Vinod Kumar, a senior leader in the BRS and vice-chairman of the telangana State Planning Board, expressed grave reservations about the composition of the committee charged with determining whether simultaneous elections for the assembly and parliament was feasible. He lamented the absence of a representative from South india in the committee and announced that the BRS will soon call a meeting to go over the most recent events.

The former mp blasted prime minister narendra modi in a statement for calling a five-day special session of parliament, charging that the nda administration was causing unrest in the nation. He emphasised how conversations of conducting concurrent elections had been absent for the previous ten years before being quickly reintroduced.

He recalled how, in 2018, the BRS had expressed to the Law Commission its support for simultaneous elections while emphasising the need for careful consideration. He was concerned that the committee's creation would just be a formality and that the stakeholders may not have been consulted while a report on simultaneous elections was being produced.

Vinod Kumar expressed his perplexity about the course that prime minister Modi was leading the nation on. He questioned why, despite the Act's recommendation, the narendra modi administration disregarded its provisions and failed to add more members to the Legislative Assemblies of both telugu States. He voiced worries about the bjp administration's strategy for the impending elections and requested the bjp leadership to explain why the Women's Reservation Bill had not yet been brought up.
