In a conversation with bollywood Thikana, seema said, 'I feel that brother, we will have to say namaste to the film industry soon. The condition of the industry has become very bad. Or should I say that they have murdered the creative people of the industry. It has completely come into the hands of businessmen. They want to keep this industry alive with their business mind. I don't think that we who have worked in this industry for years will be able to survive.'
Further seema said that the industry has sidelined the artistic value. seema said, 'I can understand that they want to earn money and maybe they don't need people like us. They call us old people. And they say that our way of thinking has become very old. They argue that only an actor runs a film. According to them, only commercial films run.'
seema said, 'If you make a good low budget film, then 2 out of 5 will work. But they want to stick to the old formula. OTT has its own problems. I turned myself towards theatre. I don't think we will get the respect and work in films that we deserve. I have given 55 years in the industry but if someone comes and says that someone's 5 years are more than mine, then it hurts the heart. I was very hurt, that's why I turned towards theatre and I am happy with the work I am doing.'
