Controversy in Pakistan
Bollywood superstar salman khan has become the center of a political and media storm in Pakistan.
Reports claim that the balochistan government has added his name to the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (1997).
This alleged action has triggered massive outrage and debate in India, with social media abuzz over Pakistan’s move.
Tehseen Poonawalla’s Strong Response
Political analyst and former bigg boss 13 contestant Tehseen Poonawalla condemned Pakistan’s stance.
He stated that no one should ever question the loyalty of indian Muslims.
Poonawalla remarked, “All indian Muslims live and die for their tricolor. Our ancestors chose gandhi and Nehru’s Hindustan, not Jinnah’s Pakistan.”
He accused pakistan of spreading fake narratives about alleged atrocities against indian Muslims.
According to him, indian Muslims cannot be intimidated or deceived by such propaganda.
Direct Message to Pakistan’s army Chief
Tehseen addressed pakistan army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, urging him to focus on Pakistan’s internal problems instead of India.
He emphasized that pakistan should resolve its domestic crises rather than meddling in India’s affairs.
Reference to citizenship amendment act (CAA)
Drawing a parallel, Poonawalla said:
“If pakistan passes a law to give citizenship to persecuted Muslims from India, not a single Muslim will go there — because Muslims are happy here.”
He highlighted that indian Muslims are secure, proud, and patriotic citizens of India.
Origin of the Controversy
The uproar began after salman Khan’s remarks at the Joy Forum 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attended by Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
Salman stated, “There are people from balochistan, Afghanistan, pakistan — everyone works here.”
His distinction between balochistan and pakistan angered Pakistani social media users, who accused him of undermining Pakistan’s unity.
