On Thursday the Mayor of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has explained to the city traffic police regarding the violation of the traffic rules during Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan’s surprise inspection of the sanitary work which was made in the city on Wednesday night.
Ram Mohan has made a surprise inspection of the sanitary works at Hyderabad and he was riding a bike without wearing a helmet from 11.00 pm to 6 am on Wednesday night. The picture of the Mayor without helmet during the inspection was circulated in the Media and has created a big issue.
Meanwhile the Hyderabad’s city traffic police have decided to issue a chalan of Rs.100 as he has violated the rules after receiving complaints from LB Nagar area through the App. But the Mayor’s office has said that the Mayor has worn the helmet throughout his ride during the inspection.
Sources have said that the Mayor has removed his helmet just for photo shoot, was said by a reporter. By the explanation which was submitted by the Mayor’s office, the Traffic department DCP II AV Ranganath has told that they have cancelled the chalan which was planned to be issued to the Mayor.
