In fact, rahul gandhi filed two applications in the Sessions court of surat on Monday. One sought to set aside the sentence awarded in a defamation case, while the other sought regular bail. On these, the court has fixed the hearing on the bail application till april 13 and the next hearing on the cancellation of sentence on May 3. rahul gandhi has reached surat on monday along with sister priyanka and several senior congress leaders to file the application.

Also welcomed rahul on his arrival at surat airport.
