A man was clinging to the car's bonnet as it travelled the two to three kilometres from Ashram Chowk to Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi. On sunday at around eleven o'clock, the incident was caught on camera. The man, identified only as Chetan, informed ANI that he is a driver and was returning after dropping off a passenger. He stepped outside and stood in front of the car, claiming that the driver had touched his car.

"After that, he began to drive the vehicle, and I clung on the hood as he continued to drive from Ashram Chowk to Nizamuddin. I pleaded with him again to stop, but he persisted. He or she was completely inebriated. I came across a PCR stationed in the road, and they pursued us until chetan stopped the vehicle, according to ANI.

However, the driver of the car, Ramchand Kumar, claimed that Chetan "jumped on the bonnet" of his car and denied that his car had ever touched Chetan's. "I was driving when he purposefully hopped on the bonnet of my car; my car didn't even touch his. I told him to get down, but he was unresponsive. I pulled over after that and questioned him about what he was doing, said Ramchand.
