The members of the Disaster and Response Force (DRF) of the hyderabad municipal corporation-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>greater hyderabad municipal corporation (GHMC) have finished their training in rescue techniques with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at the 10th Battalion, NDRF on the banks of the krishna river in Vijayawada. Three months of training in building collapse and flood rescue operations were provided.

The training also covered performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), piloting boats, and conducting flood rescue operations. 50 DRF employees received diplomas upon the completion of their training from Assistant Commandant, NDRF, Damodar Singh. N Prakash Reddy, director of EV&DM, stated, "GHMC's Directorate of Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EV&DM) is also procuring advanced equipment used by NDRF, including victim location unit, combination hydraulic cutter and spreader, airlifting bag-vetter, reciprocating saw, and breathing apparatus sets."

He added that 50 DRF employees had received training in keeping with the State government's goal, which was to equip and train the DRF so that it could manage any situation independently. The DRF unit at ghmc is made up of 27 teams and 450 people who have been trained to respond to disasters including urban flooding, building collapses, rail accidents, tree falls, etc. and to support telangana State fire Services and Disaster Response personnel. They are always available in key city locations, allowing them to quickly go to crisis scenes.
