tamilnadu witnessed a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases with more than 11,000 people being infected across the state. Out of the new infections, 500+ patients belonged to chennai alone. The state’s tally stands at 11,760 of which chennai has 7521 COVID-19 cases. 500+ new cases from chennai includes ten primary contacts, while 40 are other contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases. The new cases are spread across districts like Chengalpattu, coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dindigul, Kancheepuram, madurai, Nagapattinam, tenkasi, thanjavur, Tiruvarur, tirunelveli, Villupuram and Virudhunagar.
Despite these, TN government has given relaxation for various businesses which primarily includes alcohol. TASMAC shops are opened across the state already. Right now, tamil Nadu is just behind maharashtra in terms of active cases.
In this case, now the government has also given permission for the Saloon shops to be opened and they have just ordered the shops not to use air conditioners until this situation fades out.
