In the badvel by-election, bjp leaders filed a complaint with General Observer IAS officer Bhishma Kumar, saying that the ycp was breaking the election rules. Somuveerraju, GVL narasimha Rao, cm Ramesh, bjp in-charge sunil Deodhar, national secretary Satyakumar, MLC Madhav, and former minister Adinarayana reddy were among those in attendance. Somu said that our activists were being falsely accused by the YCP.

He claimed he had expressed concern that having elections with the local police would be done unilaterally. He was furious that bjp leaders were intimidating ycp leaders.   Volunteers are attempting to entice and frighten voters, according to reports. He said that the matter had been shared with the Central Electoral Commission in Delhi. He said that the Central election commission must have dispatched 15 paramilitary platoons to respond.
