Covid threat: mamata to have a virtual meeting with PM?

Amidst the ever-increasing cases of Covid in West Bengal, chief minister mamata banerjee told on Thursday, that she is going to have a virtual meeting with prime minister Narendra Modi on friday regarding this issue. It is worth noting that the number of daily coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 14,022.


Mamata will talk to PM: Addressing a press conference in Howrah, the chief minister said, "The number of daily COVID-19 cases in the state has increased to 14,022 and the number of active cases to 33,042, So, I will follow a virtual conference with prime minister Narendra Modi." Giving information about the current situation of Covid in West Bengal, mamata banerjee said that the restrictions will be extended with a mandatory RT-PCR test for interstate border area movement.

How are the preparations of West Bengal?

Regarding the latest situation of patients in the state and to deal with Covid, she said, “A total of 2,075 patients of Covid are hospitalized in the state and 403 areas are considered as containment zones. At the same time, the positivity rate is 23.17 percent, apart from this the death rate is 1.18 percent. At the same time, there are about 19,517 beds available in the state. mamta Banerjee has said that RT-PCR should be mandatory for interstate movement. Apart from this, the chief minister said that the next 15 days are important and the state government is preparing to increase the restrictions of Covid.
