World war 'Z' - markings on Russian tankers???

Ever since russia attacked Ukraine, many pictures and videos are going viral on the internet. In these, you can see that a letter like Z is written on Russian tankers. Defense officials have not yet told the meaning of such marking publicly and officially, but it does not happen just like that. If noticed, it has a special meaning. This is because the letter Z is not in the Russian alphabet, it could be the Cyrillic letter I.

Why such marking is done on military equipment?
Defense experts believe that russia may have done this to show its troop apart from the troop of Ukraine. Actually, the military equipment of both countries is very similar. Therefore, it must have been done to make its tankers and other equipment stand out from the Ukrainian army. Russia's T-72 main battle tank looks like Ukraine's T-80, now in such a situation, the armies do this to avoid any kind of confusion. In the pictures going viral on the Internet, you will see that on some Russian devices, Z is seen in a circle, somewhere in a triangle, and somewhere in a rectangle.

According to experts, the army sometimes uses this type of marking to make its equipment stand out from the enemy army. In 1944, during the attack on Normandy, the US military made black and white stripes on their airplanes so that their other companions would not attack their ships.
