According to a prediction from private weather forecaster Skymet, the start of the monsoon season in the state could be delayed by over four weeks. The Bay of bengal is thought to be the primary source of the monsoon's weather systems. According to the analysis, there is no probability that such a system will develop over the Bay of bengal very soon.

"Skymet Extended Range Prediction System (ERPS) is projecting a dismal outlook for the next 4 weeks, between june 09 and July 06," the weather forecaster's report stated. According to the survey, the core monsoon zones of Maharashtra, telangana, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and east Uttar Pradesh are the ones that primarily depend on monsoon rainfall.

The majority of the state is expected to stay moderately to severely dry over that time, according to a four-week forecast map from Skymet. As cyclonic storm Biparjoy developed in the arabian sea last week, meteorologists projected that india might have to wait a little longer for the arrival of the southwest monsoon. As of Monday, the maximum temperature was predicted to reach up to 40 degrees Celsius until june 15. As a result, the india Meteorological Department (IMD) issued alerts for many telangana districts.
