On Saturday, district Collectors of warangal and hanamkonda were given instructions by Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao to initiate action to allocate house plots to all qualified journalists in these districts. Leaders of the TUWJ (143), who met him at the home of warangal East mla Nannanpuneni Narender, had earlier discussed the subject with the minister, who had stated that every eligible journalist will be given house sites. Rama Rao said he had conversations on friday with media Academy chairman Allam Narayana to address the problem of assignment of house sites for journalists in hyderabad as well. Rama Rao was curious as to the number of journalists seeking house sites and the members of journalist housing societies.

He promised that action would be done quickly to guarantee that all journalists, including those connected to the JNJ Society in hyderabad, would have access to home sites. Later, he requested that authorities see to it that the Head of Accounts was made available to the two housing societies that had already received the land allocation. They would be able to complete the necessary payment obligations for the allocated land thanks to this action.

In Munipalli and Dargah Kazipet, respectively, the Ekashila and Kakatiya journalist housing societies received land allocations of 10.31 acres and 4.02 acres in 2009. These groups, however, were unable to purchase the allotted housing plots because of payment limitations.

In order to settle the situation as soon as possible, the minister asked the leaders of the journalist unions to contact the appropriate authorities and the head of the media Academy. Allam Narayana, he promised, would compile a thorough list of journalists who are not connected to any housing association. The warangal Press Club has 590 members total, including those from housing societies, according to the sources.

The minister then dedicated 200 2BHK homes built at a cost of Rs. 10.60 crores for journalists in the warangal East constituency. A maruti Sagar, the general secretary of TUWJ (143), minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLAs A Ramesh, N Narender, and D Vinay Bhaskar, as well as other leaders, were present.
