Even while the monsoons brought much-needed relief from the oppressive summer heat, the rains forced city residents to deal with fresh difficulties since the roadways in different sections of the city became entirely blocked with water. The recent rains have made several portions of Hyderabad's poorly maintained city roadways and drainage system visible. Within a week of the Monsoon's arrival, videos of severe water logging and drainage water overflows appeared online.

In one such video, a furious local voiced his distress at the occurrences of Nanakaramguda roads submerging, particularly given the region's strong demand for residential and commercial space. The individual in the video reveals the severe water logging as he operates the vehicle on the recently constructed Nanakramguda roads, demonstrating the awful commuter experience that drivers endure.

The man, who had ended himself in a pool of rainwater, notes that the apartment complexes in one of the city's most upscale neighborhoods had poor sewage systems. He may be heard adding, "An acre in this area is apparently Rs 200 crore." Residents criticised the telangana government for having a subpar strategic development plan in their comments on the video. There were several comments that called the man a liar for complaining and urged him to return to Andhra. More rain is predicted in the following days, which will increase the risk for those travelling on city roadways due to hazardous roads and overflowing drainage systems.
