As of the final round of the telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) 2023, 84% of the available seats in the government polytechnic colleges had already been filled. Although there were 13,494 seats available for different diploma courses at 56 government polytechnics, only 11,336 have been given to applicants, leaving 2,158 open spots. Out of 18,245 seats, 59.23% have been filled at 62 private polytechnic institutions.

On Friday, the candidates who participated in the last step of counseling received their seat assignments. In addition to the rule of reservation, seats are assigned depending on the candidate's desire and order of merit. Up to 80,358 candidates passed the admission exam, and 14,136 of them used their online alternatives. Out of 31,739 seats, 118 polytechnic colleges have distributed 69.76 percent of them. Two government polytechnic colleges and one private institution each reported 100% seat allocations.

The only course with 100% enrollment was diploma in Cyber Physical Systems and Security. Over 90% of the available seats are in the courses for the diploma in biomedical engineering, electronics and video engineering, and chemical engineering. 87.62% of the 6,730 available places for the diploma in Computer Science and Engineering were filled as students continued to express interest in the programme. With 2,314, 2,170, and 1,987 seats empty, respectively, the diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering programmes had the most open seats.
