The incident took place in Koratagere where Indira opened the canteen again by giving arrears to the employees of the canteen. Talulu administration woke up as the matter of not paying salary to the employees of Indira Canteen in Koratagere was published in the media and restarted Indira Canteen by paying the arrears of salary. After visiting the place and resolving the salary issue, Tehsildar Munishamireddy Indira has taken action to reopen the canteen. The agency did not pay the employees of Indira Canteen. In this background, the board hockey canteen was shut down without providing food. After the report, the Tehsildar paid the salary to the employees from the agency side. Apart from reopening the canteen, Tehsildar Munishamireddy enjoyed his meal in the canteen itself.


BBMP revives Indira canteens


BBMP has decided to restart the mobile Indira canteens which were stopped and has ordered the repair of the dilapidated mobile canteen. In 2017, out of 198 wards, fixed canteen was started in 175 wards and mobile Indira canteen in remaining wards. Now, out of 23 mobile canteens, 16 mobile canteens which are in bad condition have been repaired and the government has instructed to start again. In this background, the special commissioner of the corporation's health department has instructed the zonal officials to repair the mobile Indira canteen.


Five mobile vehicles need to be repaired in South zone, three each in West zone and RR nagar (Rajarajeshwari nagar) zone, four in east zone and one in Mahadevpur zone. An estimate has been received from a private organization that the repair of these will cost .1.22 crores. 50% of the estimated list price will be paid in advance and the repair will be arranged. The Special Commissioner of health has directed that the entire cost of repairs be met with the approval of the Special Commissioner of Finance.
