The high court has refused to intervene in the trial against Azam Khan, son Abdullah and wife Tanzeem Fatima
in the case of fake birth certificate of Abdullah Azam, son of SP leader and former cabinet minister Mohammad
Azam Khan. The court said that the decision of the case will not come from the trial court until the petition is
decided. The high court has reserved its decision on Azam Khan's petition to stay the trial of the case and allow
him to present some new evidence.
The trial of the case against all three people including Azam Khan is going on in the mp MLA Special court of
Rampur. It has been demanded in the petition that he should be allowed to file a pen drive and video clip as
evidence in the ongoing trial in mp MLA court. Azam Khan side said that the main witness of the case,
Mohammad Shafiq, is close to the plaintiff akash Saxena, hence Mohammad Shafiq is testifying against him. To
prove this fact, a demand has been made to the high court to allow presentation of a pen drive and video clip as
evidence.
Court reserved judgment
Additional Advocate General PC Srivastava and Additional government Advocate JK Upadhyay, who were
opposing the petition, said that Shafiq had admitted about the pen drive in his statement. In such a situation, the
purpose of seeking permission to include the pen drive as evidence is only to pending the trial, hence no
permission should be given for it. The court has reserved its decision in this matter after hearing both the sides.
Along with this, mp MLA court Rampur has been directed to continue the trial of the case.
