Opposition leaders knew that polarization of votes on the basis of communal agenda would help bjp and its
leaders play on the field of saffron brigade. bihar Education minister Chandrashekhar Yadav is one of those who
often gives statements on communal basis. In January, he had claimed that the Hindu epic Ramachartimanas,
Manu Smriti as well as the book 'Bunch of Thought' spread hatred in the society. On september 7, he made
another controversial statement in Nalanda, claiming that Prophet Muhammad was 'Maryada Purushottam' and that
God had sent him to earth to eliminate evil. These two statements have given bjp ample opportunity to play its
turf and exploit Hindu extremism to polarize voters. All these things are happening before the important Lok
Sabha elections of 2024.
'These statements were made deliberately'
Political experts of bihar believe that they are giving such issues on which bjp is very good at polarizing the
voters. Sources have also claimed that both these statements were deliberately given for personal gain. When
Chandrashekhar Yadav had commented against Ramcharitmanas, RJD did not take action against him. This
statement was supported by RJD state president Jagdanand Singh at that time. Jagdanand Singh claimed on
Wednesday that the country was enslaved because of the people who applied tilak on their forehead. He further
said that these people are trying to enslave the country again.
