Opposition parties seem to be attempting to capitalize on the day even though the State administration has declared september 17 to be observed as National Integration Day, commemorating Telangana's union with india without any political overtones.

With the BJP-led Centre once again planning an "official" program dubbed Liberation Day at Parade Grounds here, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) has been at the forefront of such initiatives. The bjp decided to observe the day in response to what it saw as a direct rivalry between the congress and the BRS, which nearly drove the saffron party out of existence and forced it to make noise in order to be heard.

The bjp has designated september 17 as hyderabad Liberation Day, and amit shah spoke at a public gathering at Parade Grounds last year as part of the official Centre celebration of the occasion. According to sources, the party now plans to make the public gathering on september 17 into a political focal point and step up its election campaign in the State because the public meeting Shah addressed in khammam last month failed to provide the intended outcomes for the organization. This occurred after the party's many factions' deepening internal divisions, which were followed by a change of leadership in the State and entirely undermined the party in the State.

The congress, on the other hand, is organizing a number of activities, such as a rally and a public meeting, to win over voters and gain political capital on the day before the assembly elections. Following the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting on september 16, the congress intends to hold a public gathering on september 17 at Tukkuguda, where sonia gandhi is anticipated to announce the party's "five guarantees" and use the occasion to launch the party's election campaign in a manner similar to the BJP.

The tpcc vice president G Niranjan asserted that the congress had been crucial in bringing hyderabad State into the indian Union and that the bjp saw itself as the only party capable of planning events on september 17. Telangana's citizens were aware of the BJP's historical revisionism strategies. In a statement released here on Sunday, he said that the bjp, which did not even exist at the time and played no part in the merger, was now raising slogans to get political mileage.
