Ex-Pentagon official blasts Trudeau's accusations...?

Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin criticized Justin Trudeau for saying that india was involved in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar and that the Khalistani terrorist "had blood on his hands" and "was not just a plumber." The allegations made by Trudeau were also characterized as "shameless" and "cynical" by Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Rubin urged the US not to aid those who view the Khalistani movement as an effort to further their own egos, financial gain, or political ambitions.

One of India's most wanted terrorists, Nijjar was the leader of the outlawed Khalistan tiger Force (KTF), for which a cash reward of 10 lakh was posted on his head. Since Trudeau's incendiary claims of the "potential" involvement of indian agents in the incident on june 18 in british Columbia, the execution of Nijjar—whom india had labeled as a terrorist in 2020—has generated a significant diplomatic dispute between New delhi and Ottawa. In retaliation for Ottawa's decision to expel an indian official over the matter, india has vehemently rejected the accusations as "absurd" and "motivated" and expelled a senior Canadian ambassador.

Speaking on a session at the Hudson Institute think tank, Rubin charged that Trudeau is aiding those who view the Khalistani movement as an ego- and money-driven movement. In addition, he cautioned that the Canadian prime minister had erred greatly in accusing India's potential involvement and chastised him for up to this point failing to provide evidence to support his claims.
