A video of a transgender house being demolished by its owner in coimbatore district is going viral on the internet. Manonmani hails from Mayalambatti area next to Sulur in coimbatore district. He is the in-charge of Sulur West Union of BJP. His house is in Mayalambatti area. The house is rented out to Angelina and 2 transgenders. As the transgenders have been living there for the last 5 years, Manonmani has asked them to vacate. Transgenders have said they will vacate if they return the money they gave earlier. While such issues have been going on for the past 6 months, more than twenty complaints have been lodged with the district Collector and Sulur police station regarding the issue of transgenders. In this case, while Angelina had gone to the market on the day of the incident, Manonmani went with 4 servants and broke the cement roofs of the house where the transgenders lived. The transgenders filed a complaint at the Sulur police station. On the basis of the complaint, Sulur police went to the spot and brought the slaves who were taken by Manonmani to the police station and are investigating. In this situation, the video footage of the servants smashing the house where the transgenders were staying is going viral on social media.
