The telugu desam party (TDP) president and former chief minister of andhra pradesh, N. chandrababu naidu, was arrested, and the leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) condemned the action, despite the party's official neutral stance. This shows that they are worried about losing the support of tdp supporters and "settlers" in the upcoming telangana Assembly election.

The fact that a BRS mla joined the public protest in hyderabad and that Finance minister T. harish rao called Naidu's arrest unfortunate show that the ruling party is unwilling to take any chances, especially after receiving criticism for not granting permission for protests in the center of information technology. At a public gathering on saturday in the siddipet area, harish rao had called Naidu's detention "unfortunate." "It's unfortunate that he (Naidu) was arrested at this age," he remarked. He said that Naidu had hailed Telangana's achievements following its formation.

The minister said that the tdp leader made reference to how Telangana's land values had multiplied, helping farmers. In the past, residents of present-day andhra pradesh could sell one acre of land in Andhra and purchase ten acres in Telangana. Referring to statements made by Naidu during his meetings in andhra pradesh, he said that the situation had changed and that as of just now, anyone could purchase 100 acres in Andhra for the price of one acre in Telangana.

Despite his own acceptance of chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao's outstanding achievements in the agriculture sector, he said that Naidu had previously supported the IT industry. Harish Rao's remarks came just four days after K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, claimed that the dispute over Naidu in andhra pradesh was a political one between two parties and defended the decision to deny permission for rallies in hyderabad on the grounds that it might cause law and order issues in the telangana capital.

He had reportedly been responding to comments made by certain BRS leaders criticizing Naidu's detention by the andhra pradesh CID in connection with an alleged skill development fraud when he added, "Some leaders may have spoken individually but we are staying neutral." ktr said that andhra pradesh politics had nothing to do with telangana politics. "In andhra pradesh, Mr. chandrababu naidu was detained. Rallies and dharnas can be held there if you so want. Why Hyderabad? he questioned.

A demonstration against Naidu's detention was organized by some of his followers, especially IT workers, in Hyderabad's IT corridor. police then refused to grant any protest authorization. If one party is permitted to stage rallies, the other party may hold counter-rallies, according to KTR. When Naidu was the chief minister of undivided andhra pradesh from 1995 and 2004, some techies saw him as the primary architect of Hyderabad's IT boom, and they criticized KTR's remarks for this.

People from andhra pradesh who have moved to hyderabad and other areas of telangana are known as "settlers," and it was protests by these "settlers" that reportedly prompted BRS officials to take notice of the support for Naidu among these "settlers," particularly the kamma group to whom Naidu belongs. In this setting, the BRS mla from the Greater hyderabad district of LB nagar took part in a demonstration in Naidu's favor. In Vanasthalipuram, which is home to a substantial andhra pradesh population, Sudheer reddy took part in the protest.

The protesters held signs criticizing Y.S. jagan Mohan reddy, the chief minister of andhra pradesh, and yelled shouts in opposition to Naidu's imprisonment. Earlier, Pocharam srinivas reddy, the speaker of the assembly, said that Naidu was detained in a "inappropriate manner" and that this was bad for democracy. He described the arrest as being "politically motivated". srinivas reddy, a tdp member, served as a minister in Naidu's administration in the then-undivided state of Andhra Pradesh. He is from the nizamabad area, which has a sizable population of settlers.

Revanth reddy, who was regarded as Naidu's closest confidant during his time in the tdp, blasted ktr for denying permission for demonstrations against his incarceration in Hyderabad. revanth stressed that citizens have the unalienable right to demonstrate wherever in the nation. He said individuals of andhra pradesh ancestry in hyderabad have the right to protest about matters that matter to them since they have the right to vote and pay taxes to the government. He emphasised that NRIs from telangana attended protests in support of telangana outside the white house in the US during the telangana statehood movement, and they were not refused permission since the subject had a connection to India.
